PURPOSE OF CIGSA

The purpose of the Curriculum and Instruction Graduate Student Association (CIGSA) is to foster a culture of cooperation within the department by:

  1. Providing academic support through speakers, mentoring, and presentation of potential grant and research opportunities.
  2. Facilitating effective communication and cooperation among students, faculty, and administration.
  3. Representing graduate students' needs, interests, and concerns to faculty and administration.
  4. Providing a forum for the exchange of research.
  5. Planning social events.
  6. Maintaining a connection between graduate students and the Curriculum and Instruction Graduate Committee and the Purdue Graduate Student Government.
