Emily Redman presented a paper titled "Chaucer's Aesthetics of the List" at the South Atlantic MLA conference in Atlanta, Georgia in November.

Rebecca Goldenberg won first place in the 2004-2005 Art History Essay Contest for her paper entitled "The Holy Inspiration of Light: A Study of the Stained Glass at the Abbey of St. Denis, France."

Erin Sweany received an honorable mention for the Peter C. Braeger undergraduate award in the 74th Annual Literary Awards Competition at Purdue University.

Alex Kaufman received the Peter C. Braeger graduate award in the 74th Annual Literary Awards Competition at Purdue University for his essay titled "Disguise, Transgression, and the Carnivalesque in the Medieval Outlaw Tradition."

Erin Sweany received the award for Outstanding Senior in Medieval Studies.
