The "Dream Gown"

In The Two Towers Arwen wears fewer dresses than in The Fellowship of The Ring, but the one that caught my attention the most was her Dream Gown. It looks a bit like a Greek Chiton. Until recently it was believed that the Dream Gown consisted of an overdress and an under dress; which was actually shaped like an undress rather that a large square or draped fabric as the over dress is. But since I decieded to create this dress for this coming Halloween I have been collecting all the pictures I could possibly find as well as taking my own screen caps. After zooming in with my dvd player I discovered that there are 3 layers of fabric in the back and 2 in the front! The front over dress under which is the front of the under dress while in the back there is an overdress layer and the first under dress layer then the back of the second under dress layer (which is sewed to the front under dress layer). I have taken the various screen caps and written my comments on them to illustrate this. I had to use a brush tool in photoshop to draw and write my comments on them but if you click on the thumbnails i've enlarged them hopefully enough so that you can make out my writing.
