Hi everyone, and welcome back to campus! Below are a few brief announcements for you.
First up, Purdue Marketing and Media hosts student auditions for the television program “Boiler Bytes” that will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network and posted on the web to aid Purdue’s marketing efforts. There are a number of spots up for grabs, as either studio hosts or field reporters. If you think you’re up to the task, the auditions and interviews will be held Monday August 31st from 4p-7p at the Steward Center, room B22-D. For more information, contact Executive Producer Larry Reagan via email (ldr@sandersnet.com). Also, you can check out past episodes online at http://www.boilerbytes.com.
Next, for all of those aspiring journalists out there, The Exponent is looking for some new students in their upcoming callout. There are paid positions in the advertising and newsroom departments-both offering real, hands-on experience in media and communication as well as in depth client interaction. If this sounds like the campus job of your dreams, then head to room 129 of the Electrical Engineering building September 1, at 6:30pm. If you have any questions or just want more details on Exponent life, you can contact Editor-in-Chief Mikel Livingston at 765-743-1111 ex. 207. Or, email him at editor@purdueexponent.org.
Continue to enjoy the first week of classes!
