Manage Scholar Homes

My Scholar Home is your own personal page that is starting point for Scholar. You can always get back to your Scholar Home from anywhere in Scholar by clicking on the Scholar logo in the upper left corner of the page.

Since My Scholar Home is the first page you get when you log in, it would be useful to put more important information on the My Scholar Home page. Your personal Tag Cloud automatically appears and synchronously updating “Streams” can appear on your Scholar Home.

You can create your own custom Streams to your My Scholar Home. For instance, suppose you want to check new bookmarks updated by your instructor synchronously. You could create a Stream that will show you the most recent bookmarks added by the instructor (add the user criteria) in the course (add the course tag). Whenever you log into Scholar, you will see the results in the custom Stream on your Scholar Home page.

Each Course in the Blackboard Learning System can have its own Scholar Course Home page. The Scholar Course Home is similar to My Scholar Home, except the access to this course is exclusive to the members of the course only. Instructors have administrative access to Scholar Course Home so that they can add Streams to the Scholar Course Home for their courses, just like they do in their My Scholar Home.
