I am a doctoral candidate in the school of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana since Spring 2004. My major area of study is applied mechanics, structures and materials, and I am pursuing my doctoral research on the deformation, failure and fracture mechanism of nanostructured materials using classical molecular dynamics simulations. I received my bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh, in Summer 2000. The next one year, I worked as an undergraduate instructor in the same department. I started my graduate studies at Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, Alabama, in Summer 2001 and obtained my masters degree in Mechanical Engineering in Spring 2004.
