As stated in the welcome page, I
have put together this composition of all my current knowledge on my family in
order to portray an accurate story of how we came to be where and who we are
today. The research in this site took years of work and dozens of sources,
including many conflicting ones. Although it did take a large amount of time,
I'm glad that I can now give my family story to the best of my knowledge. In
doing so, I hope to inspire others to follow their own family history. Too many
people today couldn't name a person in their family beyond their
great-grandparents. If more people knew their family history, they would have a
much greater sense of family pride, as I do.
This project was assigned in CIT
141, a web design class at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, in the fall
of 2006. The content could be anything, and I chose genealogy since I had
previously attempted genealogy sites and failed. This project forced me to put
forth the time and effort to complete a site on the scale I had originally
intended. I recieved a 99% on the
project.
My name is Aaron Jeffrey
Anspaugh. I am a junior at Purdue
University, West Lafayette, IN, in the School of Technology. I was born in Joliet, IL, in the
area where my mom was raised. However, I moved to Shelbyville when I was 9,
having the privilege of living 9 years where my mom grew up and 9 years where
my dad grew up. I currently work at ItaP (Information
Technology at Purdue) as a Senior Lab Assistant when I am in school. Any
questions or comments (or corrections) for this site can be emailed to aanspaug@purdue.edu.
