Day Zero has arrived! I’ll be out the door in less than twelve hours, and wandering aimlessly on the streets of Hollywood within twenty-four. Maybe I shouldn’t think about that.
My allergies are killing me from all this housecleaning. I’m hoping the hotel isn’t too bad, but I’ve stocked up some allergy medicine in case. Hope airport security doesn’t think it’s Drugs. Never had a problem before, but paranoia is in these days.
Still have a few things I want to do before I leave (like take a nap), but I’ve got most of the “gottas” out of the way. Suitcase sure filled up fast, and I thought I was travelling pretty light. Don’t know how I did it last time. I’m not even sure I can squeeze in a second pair of shoes. Less important there since it’s not as likely to rain, but I like to change them so my feet feel cleaner. Of course, I won’t be walking as much there either.
Still have to set some tapes (already set the DVRs) to catch some stuff on the 18th in case I’m not home by primetime. Planned to see some friends in Indy (since they never come see me), but I might wave that off if I’m tuckered out by then.
Laptop’s almost done backing itself up and charging itself up. iPod’s fueled up. Got my eTicket and a bunch of clothes. Sounds like I’m about ready. I’m sure I’ll think of a hundred things I need to do before I go, but I’m feeling pretty good at the moment.
Tired, though, and not looking forward to taking off, on foot, at 4:00am.
