Amanda Hayes is a junior from Pittsboro, Indiana double majoring in Accounting and Management with a Finance concentration. In May 2016, she will graduate with 150 credit hours. After graduation, she plans to take a study course for the CPA exam and sit for the exams before the end of the year.



Since Amanda’s first semester at Purdue, she has been an active member in the club. She faithfully attended various professional, social, and volunteer events help by the club. During the 2014-2015 academic school year, Amanda will serve as the club's Professional Events Chair. She hopes to increase networking opportunities for students by building new relationships with companies and increasing the variety of industries that present to the students. She wants the students to be aware of all of the possible career opportunities available to them.

Amanda had her first internship after her freshman year as a Client Service Intern at The Just Company, a small financial advising firm in Indianapolis. She was fascinated by the depth of the investment world. She enjoyed the opportunity to serve more of an internal auditor role when she returned to The Just Company over fall, Christmas, spring, and even summer break before beginning her next internship. This past summer, Amanda worked as a Federal Tax Intern at Crowe Horwath in Indianapolis. She gained experience with various software programs and was exposed to taxes at both the federal and state level.
