Minimum Requirements to Sit for CPA
In order to sit for the exam in Indiana, you must have earned 150 semester hours in general
education which must include
- a graduate or baccalaureate degree from a college or university that is accredited by
an accrediting organization recognized by the board
- Completed
- At least 24 semester hours in accounting at the undergraduate level, or 15 credit hours
in accounting at the graduate level (or an equivalent combination of the two), and must
include courses covering the following subjects
- Financial Accounting
- Auditing
- Taxation
- Managerial Accounting
- At least 24 semester hours in business administration and economic courses other
than accounting courses, at the undergraduate or graduate level
- Up to 6 semester hours of business and tax law courses
- Up to 6 semester hours of computer science courses
- All educational transcript(s), Certificate of Enrollments, and/or foreign evaluations are
required to be submitted at the time of the application to CPA Examination Services directly
from the academic institution(s).
