Through the Recruitment process, PAC gives its members an opportunity to meet other actuarial students and faculty. Moreover, it encourages our members to establish friendships with actuaries in the life/health, property/casualty, and consulting fields
The Mentor-Mentee Program organised by the PAC connects members with upperclassmen in the field of Actuarial Science.
The Actuarial Science field is a very demanding one that requires a student to pass a series of exams before they can work as an Actuary. The PAC helps bestow knowledge and provide resources to aid its members in their studies and with actuarial exams
The Society of Actuaries(SOA) has recognized Purdue University as a Center of Actuarial Excellence(CAE),the highest level of SOA recognition for universities. To qualify for the CAE designation, university and college programs must meet eight criteria and specific requirements. These criteria include appropriate degree and curriculum offerings, graduate count, faculty composition, quality of graduates, appropriate integration with other areas of study, connection to industry, and research and professional involvement.
