Why you should join the club!

Understanding the Profession

We provide members with an all-round understanding of the Actuarial Profession, and the steps to become a certified Actuary.

Interacting with Actuaries

Through the Recruitment process, PAC gives its members an opportunity to meet other actuarial students and faculty. Moreover, it encourages our members to establish friendships with actuaries in the life/health, property/casualty, and consulting fields

The Mentor-Mentee Program organised by the PAC connects members with upperclassmen in the field of Actuarial Science.

Exam Resources

The Actuarial Science field is a very demanding one that requires a student to pass a series of exams before they can work as an Actuary. The PAC helps bestow knowledge and provide resources to aid its members in their studies and with actuarial exams

Purdue is now a

Centre of Actuarial Excellence

The Society of Actuaries(SOA) has recognized Purdue University as a Center of Actuarial Excellence(CAE),the highest level of SOA recognition for universities. To qualify for the CAE designation, university and college programs must meet eight criteria and specific requirements. These criteria include appropriate degree and curriculum offerings, graduate count, faculty composition, quality of graduates, appropriate integration with other areas of study, connection to industry, and research and professional involvement.
