Instructional Designer Outreach Program
For the last year I have been volunteering as instructional designer at the Rosen Center of Advanced Computing at ITAP in the outreach educational efforts of nanoHUB.

- Identifying the most common misconceptions when teaching nanotechnology at a middle school level
- Identifying other science topics that are close related to nanotechnology and its underlying concepts which can provide an instructional framework
- Identifying instructional strategies that can address common misconceptions about nanotechnology
- Identifying the adequate curriculum related to nanoscience at a middle school level
- Developing instructional materials based on the identified curriculum
- Collaborating with the following organizations
- Network for Computational Nanotechnology (NCN)
- Birck Nanotechnology Center, Purdue University
- NanoHUB.org
- National Center for Learning and Teaching in Nanoscale Science and Engineering (NCLT)
- Purdue Nanotechnology Student Advisory Council (NSAC)
- NanoSense project at SRI International.
