Officers
The Art History Student Organization is led by a group of talented and dedicated undergraduates. Officers are voted on at the beginning of the semester and hold the position for at least two consecutive semesters.
Christina Giles is a senior with a double major in Economics and Art History and is in her second term as President. Christina, our fearless leader, has provided much needed structure to the organization and her innovative games at meetings always keep us on our toes. Christina particularly enjoys Nineteenth-century and Islamic art.
Elyse Strand serves as the organization's Treasurer and laison between AHSO and the student business office. Elyse is currently in her junior year and studies Art History. She will be taking part in an exciting study abroad trip to Venice next fall. Her organizational skills and patience is much appreciated! Kyle Sweeney served as Vice President from 2007-2008 and continues to support AHSO as the committee chair for Trips & Exercusions
as well as updating and designing the website. Kyle is in his senior year and his majors are History Honors and Art History. Kyle is especially interested in Gothic architecture and has been admitted to several graduate programs. Ann Fields (art education) is the current Vice President while Katie Renneker serves as the new Secretary for the organization.
