40th Anniversary Celebration Planned at Ross-Ade Pavilion’s Shively Club Collegians and alumnae of Beta Xi Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta announce plans to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the chapter in style! Two days of activities in October will mark the four decades that Beta Xi has been the premiere women’s fraternity on campus! Save-the-date cards will be sent soon, and formal invitations will be mailed later in the year; but plan now to be in West Lafayette this October to celebrate with sisters and spouses. Festivities will begin Saturday, October 18th (this is a non-home game weekend) with house tours from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Saturday evening we will gather at the spectacular Ross-Ade Stadium Pavilion which houses the Shively Club, the location for our event. The formal festivities will take place from 5:00 pm.to 9:00 pm and will include a cash bar, hors d’oeuvres, and full dinner. The dinner program will include a look at the past, present, and future of Beta Xi Chapter at Purdue. Some other surprises are being planned as well. Babysitting will be available at the chapter house during the dinner party. Members are asked to send a picture or two from undergraduate days (with identifying information on the back) for a video presentation of years gone by. The committee is also requesting written memories that will be posted on a memory board at the Saturday evening dinner. Feel free to send your pictures and written memories in care of the address below. The anticipated cost for the Saturday evening dinner is between $35 and $45 per person. Donations to sponsor the event and help defray other costs are greatly appreciated. Donors will be recognized in the printed program. The fun won’t stop at the end of the dinner on Saturday! A delicious brunch is being planned for Sunday at the Chapter House from 10 am. to noon to provide a fitting end to a wonderful two days of laughter, memories, sharing, and sisterhood.
