Self-Description

I have lived in Indiana my whole life and knew I would go to Purdue because both of my parents went there. I went to football games and basketball games when I was little and love them even more as a student. I have played sports my entire life, but especially love soccer, basketball, and softball. I like to run and work-out and just be outside. One of my favorite hobbies is reading, and when I was little it also was playing the piano. I am an outgoing person that loves to smile and laugh and just have a good time!

Why AGD?
Since I am really big on sports, I definitely liked the soccer aspect of the philanthropy. When I went back for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th days, I started to notice how everyone is laid back and extremely diverse. There are so many different types of girls and majors, and I liked that everyone was different.  Everyone also seemed fun and normal, too.

Favorite Alpha Gam moment?
Recruitment with Melissa Michels, watching Beerfest during lunch and being crazy that entire weekend. Melissa's "banana" moment too...

Favorite part about being the house?
Everyone is very involved and dedicated to what they do and we are all diverse. Also, I like that we're really into sports and like having fun. AGD has developed more of my "people" skills and made me appreciate others more.

If you could go anywhere, where would you go and why?
Australia because ever since I saw that Survivor series, I've wanted to visit there and see the outback and the ocean.

What do you enjoy doing?
Hang out w/friends, my bf, and just have fun. I love playing sports and laughing. Although in college so far, my fun has been hw...

What makes you unique?
The one main thing that makes me unique is my smile...people have always told me they always see me smiling and that brightens their day. That's one characteristic I love about myself.

What is the most random thing you have ever done?
I tried out for the Teen Tournament on Jeopardy once...I didn't make it :( but I saw some people on the show a couple months later that had tried out with me!

Future Goals
I currently have an internship in Chemical Engineering with Hill's Pet Nutrition this summer as a Process Engineer in Richmond, IN. Depending on how the summer goes, I may work for them full-time or find another CHE company at IR in the fall. I want to stay in Indiana for the time being, and plan on working in a technical field for my first 5 years. One year after I graduate, I am going back to get my MBA. Then, after my 5 year (ish) limit, I will decide if I am enjoying what I am doing (and stick with technical) or want to do something different (and work in the business/management aspect of that company).

You've just been given $500 to spend however you like, what would you spend it on?
Put it in the bank to save up for my dream house that I will get very soon!
