External Philanthropy

Alpha Gams take pride in raising money for Juvenile Diabetes (see our Internal Philanthropy page), but also realize that there are many other wonderful charities to help out .  We want to be involved in helping those people in need, too. That is why Alpha Gamma Delta chooses to participate in many different philanthropies through other houses to help raise money for their charity. The sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta love to be involved in these external events!  Whether it’s a sporting event, talent show, or something else, Alpha Gams can be seen having a blast while their sisters are cheering from the sidelines!

Here are some of the Philanthropies we participated in Spring 2008
FIJI Bowl-A-Rama
Phi Psi Trike Time Trials- We got second place!

Pi Kappa Phi War of Roses
Farmhouse's Hair Auction
Delta Sig's Wallyball Tournament
Zeta's Big Man On Campus

Here at Purdue, many chapters combine their respective philanthropies with smaller, side fundraisers. The painting of 'sheet signs' is a very common way to spread the word about a philanthropy event and create a friendly competition between the participating houses.
