Internal Philanthropy
Alpha Gamma Delta prides itself on the
philanthropic efforts of collegiate chapters in raising
funds for the national philanthropy:
The second line in our Purpose states that health and well-being of each
Alpha Gam has always been a primary concern of the fraternity. Our
nationally chosen philanthropy campaign is "Defeat Diabetes One Step at a
Time". Diabetes is a disease that continues to affect our members and
friends, along with family and acquaintances at a very high rate. As a
sisterhood, we have the opportunity to look to each other for support and
education. Nationally, Alpha Gamma Delta has donated thousands of dollars to both individuals and organizations to benefit
research and treatment. Every chapter has a unique
philanthropic event to raise funds.
Each year Beta Xi hosts the Alpha Gam Cup, a soccer
tournament for fraternities and men's cooperative houses.

In addition to AGCup, our house collaborates with
Delta Chi Fraternity for another philanthropy, Ride for Life. This is a
four-day long event in which members of both organizations share 72 hours of
riding a stationary bike in the middle of Purdue's Memorial Mall. This
commitment allows passersby to donate to juvenile diabetes education all
night long!
