Socials: are functions/events that we have with other men and women's cooperative houses along with fraternities.Functions/events are a great way to socialize in a relaxed atmosphere with fellow cooperative members and get to know houses within the Greek system. A few of our traditional functions include:
- a barn dance every fall with another house
- a formal in the winter
- a shipwreck themed function every spring.
Grand Prix: A week in the spring is filled with fun and excitement! We are paired up with a men's fraternity or cooperative. During this week we have a fun event or party every day! Each girl is paired with a "buddy" from the other house to hang out with and go to the race with.
Sisterhood Functions:We also have events almost every month with only us. These really help us get to know each other better and bring us closer as a house.Activites range from punkin carving at halloween to watching a movie together.
We have special dinners within the house, including our Thanksgiving Dinner, Scholarship Dinners and Mom's day Dinner, where we invite friends and family to come and celebrate!
At Christmas time, AT is transformed into a living Christmas card with lovely decorations and a big tree. Before leaving for home, we have our own Christmas party and a secret pixie gift exchange. Each of us, acting secretly, do nice or funny things as a "pixie" and give gifts to a randomly selected girl in the house and then guess who has who!
Sports: For those who are sports-minded, the house competes with other houses and purdue teams in sports including: softball, volleyball, basketball, tennis, bowling, soccer, and our personal favorite dodgeball! Your sport not listed? We will add it, our sports chair is always adding new sports for us to play! The spirit and teamwork shown by the players brings house members closer together.
Life at Ann Tweedale is a combination of many activities; helping a sister, planning a special event, or giving your big sister breakfast in bed! Some of the fun is planned, while most is spontaneous. All of it eases the strain of college life and make it more enjoyable.
