Boiler Blast is one of Purdue University’s largest student run community service events of the year will be tentatively held on Saturday, March 31st, 2012. Our volunteers will donate their time to help residents in the West Lafayette community as a way of saying ‘thank you’ to our neighbors for accepting us into their neighborhood. Whether it’s raking leaves, assisting community agencies or spring cleaning, Purdue students have been volunteering their time and energy through Boiler Blast since 2004.

Last year, over 1,200 students came out to help in homes and non-profit agencies all over the West Lafayette area. Each year we encourage more students to give of their time and for this they are rewarded. They each receive an assignment and are given a t-shirt and a lunch as well as the supplies to perform their jobs (i.e. shovels, hammers, etc) for the community.

As we are gearing up for this year’s Boiler Blast, we would be very grateful for your help. These donations would be used to purchase the Boiler Blast t-shirts, food for students as well as the assorted tools required for their various jobs. With your support, you would offer Purdue students the chance to grow through a unique volunteer experience.

Any and all monetary or in-kind donations will be sincerely appreciated. Please do not hesitate to call us if you have any further questions or would like more information about our student organization. We would gladly set up a meeting with you to discuss potential benefits for your organization through promotion.

Thank you for your consideration. With your help and the help of others in the community, we can make this year’s event the best Boiler Blast ever.
