6. Lecture notes brief outlines

5. Course material – We will not
be covering the astronomy section of the course outline. We omitted the ocean pollution
discussion. Also, there will be no
Homework 5.
Exam III will be Thursday, May 1,
3:20–5:20PM, EE 129; we will provide some alternative times for people who wish
to take the test early or who have conflicts with the scheduled time. You will need to sign up for the alternative
times.
4. April 10, 2008 – J Revised due date for Term
Paper – Tuesday, April 22 J (you may turn in any time
during that day)
Exam II results. Exam II scores have been entered
on the EAS 100 WebCT page (http://www.itap.purdue.edu/tlt/ecourses/). If you are unable to see your scores, please
email me at braile@purdue.edu. Exam
scores ranged from 36 to 99 out of 100 points.
The mean score was 80. Approximate
grade equivalents are: >86 A; 76-88 B; 62-75 C; 50-61 D; <50 F. If you would like to look over your test or
check on your grade, please see me. If
your score was <50, please see me to determine what can be done to improve your
performance on the next test!
Homework
assignments #3 and 6
are due on Thursday, April 10.

3. February 19, 2008 – Exam I results. Exam
I scores have been entered on the EAS 100 WebCT page
(http://www.itap.purdue.edu/tlt/ecourses/). If you are unable to see your scores, please
email me at braile@purdue.edu. Exam
scores ranged from 44 to 100 out of 100 points.
The mean score was 80. Approximate
grade equivalents are: >86 A; 76-88 B; 62-75 C; 50-61 D; <50 F. If you would like to look over your test or

your performance on the next test!
Homework
assignment #2 will be
due on Tuesday, February 26.
2. January 24, 2008 – This semester we are using
the 5th edition of the Lutgens and Tarbuck textbook (Foundations
of Earth Science, 2008). If you have
the 4th edition (2005), you can use the Spring 2007 course outline
and the 4th edition study guide to determine reading assignments
(pages in the textbook) associated with the topics covered in class and listed
on the current (Spring, 2008) course outline handed out in class. These documents are available from the Handouts link on the EAS 100 home page.
Homework
assignment #1 will be
handed out in class on Thursday, January 24 and will be due on Tuesday,
February 5.
Exam
I will be given in
class on Thursday, February 7.
Additional information, including suggestions for studying for the exam,
will be discussed in class on Thursday, January 31.

class meets in EE 129 Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 – 4:15PM. You can find course information online at the
