Negotiating the charcoal firing. The two gentleman with their backs to us are in charge of the charcoal oven. The oven is normally used to make cooking charcoal for the campsite located just below the Kotakoji temple. The men in charge are very interested in what I want to do and are eager to assist with my project. They agreed to include my sculptures in a firing on the 14th of September. The firing will last for about two weeks. |
