2017 Encounter trips went to Indianapolis and Haiti.
Encounter Indianapolis was our Spring Break immersion trip, where we met with agencies that assist immigrants and learned about legal and social issues concerning immigration. For pictures of the trip, click here.
Encounter Haiti was a week-long journey to Imagine Missions Orphanage near Port-au-Prince, Haiti. While there, we built a rock garden, painted walls, and did other service projects around the orphanage. Most importantly, we were able to show God's love through our time spent with the children.
Encounters for this year are to be determined.
Every Encounter is about finding and fulfilling our calling. Encounters are challenging and they change us. They also change the world. Whether it be tutoring and mentoring children, putting on a Bible school, fighting hunger, caring for the homeless, building homes for the economically challenged, doing chores for the elderly, fighting human trafficking and exploitation, caring for the environment, or simply sitting down and having a conversation with someone about the God we love… Encounters give us the chance to be the light of Christ in this world God created.
Through Encounters, Foundation students have opportunities to venture out beyond our community to meet with, and support, people who do these same things all around the world.
2017-2018 Encounters are forming now. For more information on any of the Encounter trips reach us at The Found on our contact page.
