Be Found … Worshiping

Worshiping here means I can understand more
Worshiping here means I can have my questions answered
Worshiping here means that I can contribute when I can.
Worshiping here means that I can contribute however I am able
Worshiping here means I can interact with others like me
Worshiping here means I can do my part and feel good about it

According to the student who wrote the poem above, worship with The Found sounds like a really important part of life.  It is interactive and engages our hearts, minds, souls and our strength.  Jesus taught that the greatest commandment is to love God with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength.  So maybe worship is kind of like loving God.
Our Sunday worship gatherings actually begin on Mondays (Yeah, as if we go non-stop for 7 days …) during lunch time.  Any one who wants to come is welcome to meet with the pastor and the worship team to help form next Sunday’s gathering.  We begin by choosing a topic or a text from the Scriptures and asking the Bible questions.  This interactive approach not only makes sure we’re dealing with relevant issues and answering the questions we’re actually wondering about, but it also gets us thinking about worship (and loving God) throughout the week!
It’s pretty awesome how everything, the music, the message, the images, the prayers and the words we speak, comes together on Sunday.
“Soup and Study” is like a small group Bible study and meets on Mondays for lunch in the downstairs café (Howie’s Place).  We share a meal (some brown bag it, others eat whatever is served), pray and talk with each other about what the Scriptures are saying to us.  Everyone is welcome and you can come and go as your schedule allows.
Our Sunday morning worship gatherings are inspired by Jesus’ greatest commandment and by John 10:10 where Jesus says, “…I came so that everyone would have life, and have it in its fullest.” We want our worship to be full and rich and lively because God is worthy of all our praise.  It’s not your parents’ church but it’s not camp or youth group, either.  It’s come-as-you-are casual, but come prepared to offer your best to God. We meet at 10am, upstairs in Ewing.
