About Craig R. Everett
I am a 3rd year doctoral student at Purdue University's Krannert Graduate School of Management, pursuing a PhD in Finance. I am currently working on my dissertation proposal and preparing materials for teaching two undergraduate sections of financial management next semester.
I am a native of Maine, but most recently from the Washington, DC area. My professional experience is extensive. I have worked in both small business (my own startups) as well as big business (Fortune 50). I hope to effectively leverage this experience in my research and in the classroom.
I have a passion for entrepreneurship, which is the current focus of my research in entrepreneurial finance. I am deeply interested in the financial decisions of the firm, beginning at the business plan stage, all the way through IPO (or acquisition).
My wife and I have five children, three girls and two boys, ranging from high school age down to preschool. They keep us quite busy and are a continual joy to us.
I am a strong advocate for financial literacy and spend considerable time in the community promoting youth financial literacy programs. I volunteer teaching finance in public school classrooms and serve on the local board of directors for Junior Achievement.
Thanks for your interest!
