I enjoy designing logos, t-shirts, wallpapers, webpages, anything and everything. I use Adobe Creative Suite CS3, primarily Illustrator, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver. This website, for example, was designed from scratch using these three programs. Here's a gallery of a few of the things I have designed over the years.

I created this simple, yet edgy flyer as a graphics design intern for the Purdue Athletics Department to promote a women's soccer game. |

This design was a submission to a T-shirt contest. Vertigo is an online apparel company, and the contest was to design a tee which represented the theme of summer technology. I used a a version of the power symbol found on most computers and electronic devices to represent technology. |

This design was a submission to a T-shirt contest. Vertigo is an online apparel company, and the contest was to design a tee which represented the theme of summer technology. I used an inlaid pattern of 1's and 0's to do this and also give the design an edgy feel. |

This concept tee plays on Nike's motto "Just Do It" and is fitting because Purdue is a Nike-sponsored university. |

Taipei, Taiwan. Playing around with clipping masks and great photography. |

Inspired by John Mayer's version of the amazing Jimi Hendrix song. |

DFine, Inc. is a highly innovative medical technology company that specializes in spinal treatment. This logo was entered in a contest to redesign their company image. |

"If I could change the world, I would be the sunlight in your universe." Simple, yet powerful words. This quote from T-Pain's song "Change" (originally from an Eric Clapton tune) was stuck in my mind for weeks an inspired me to do something with it. For my amazing girlfriend Emily =) |

I saw a really neat design in a sporting goods catalog that had school logos tiled across a T-shirt, but unfortunately Purdue wasn't one of the schools. So, I decided to make my own. Ideally, this would be a nice, thick hoodie that could keep you warm in the winter (with gold foil printing on top). |

One day, I decided to design a poster for Purdue basketball, but wanted it to be more personal and powerful than most generic athletics posters. I had an idea to incorporate the words "Ever faithful, ever true," from the Purdue fight song and quickly found a PERFECT picture to use on flickr (taken by fellow Boilermaker Jarret Callahan). For a more detailed description about the design process for this poster, click here. |

This simple design was made as an icon to represent a design portolio I created to share my work with other graphic artists. Simple, yet appealing. |

Say hi to Mikey the penguin! The idea for this lil' guy popped into my mind while I was in the shower one day. I'm absolutely terrible at drawing, so it took several hours of experimenting to get it right on Illustrator. I learned a lot about gradient, shine, and reflection through this project. This design was inspired by "Live High" by Jason Mraz. The chorus of the song says "Live high, live mighty, live righteously..." which I thought was a amazingly simple yet powerful statement. I used this as my laptop wallpaper for a week because I liked the message so much. Design wise, this piece is an experimentation with negative space. I really love this design because it represents such a big part of who I am. Music has been in my life for as long as I remember, and I probably would not survive without it. This piece expresses this in a very simple yet effective manner. |
 |
This was very simply just a way for me to experiment with the gradient mesh tool and screen transparency option. It was designed as a laptop wallpaper, so click on the image to view the full, uncropped version. |

I was asked to design a T-shirt for my high school's after prom, with the theme being "Haunted Afterprom." I didn't wan't to go with the cliché blood drips, creepy text, etc. so I decided to take a more playful approach. I came up with a ghost wearing shutter shades á la Kanye West and a casual, rounded typeface in a friendly light blue. |
 |
Some of the best discoveries happen by accident. I was experimenting with typefaces when I noticed that the "J" of a particular font could be easily manipulated to form other letters such as "S" and "C". The end result: a simple logo for a fictitious company. |
 |
My residence hall floor has a weekly bathroom newsletter called the "Daily Defecation," and this is the logo I designed for it. I found a picture of a funny bathroom sign and decided to use that as the main object of the logo. This successfully took care of the bathroom theme and humorously portrayed the casual nature of our newsletter as well. The font was kept in all lowercase to continue the casual feeling. |
 |
A Visual Communications project we had was to design a pictographic logo that would look good both in color and in black and white. Pictographic means it incorporates not only text but also a drawing or picture of some sort. I chose a fictitious airline company that we did a case study on in statistics class and used wings, clouds, and the color blue to play with the flying theme. |
 |
I've often seen tees imitating basketball jerseys, but I had never seen ones with football jersey-like designs on them, so this idea popped into my mind. Obviously, with the hood and the main section being two different colors, this wouldn't be your standard hoodie, but it's just an idea. |
