COTC - Club Officer Training Conference
The Club Officer Training Conference is a yearly half-day training conference that occurs immediately after the District Large Scale Service Project. During this time, officers-elect from all of Indiana's clubs learn more about their duties and set their club's yearly goals.
DCON - District Convention
An annual convention wherein all of the clubs of a district (the Indiana district in this case) come together to elect district-level officers, participate in workshops to improve their home clubs, and receive awards for their efforts throughout the past year. Participating members are also able to make lasting friendships and connections with other Indiana Circle K members through social and formal activities at the convention. Learn more about DCON here.
DLSSP - District Large Scale Service Project
The District Large Scale Service Project is a full day in which Indiana's Circle K clubs come together to do service. Each year, a different project or set of projects is chosen by the District officers. Learn more about DLSSP here.
ICON - International Convention
Circle K's International Convention is essentially a District Convention for every Circle K club in the world. Members representing every nation with a Circle K club come together each year for three days immediately after that years' LSSP - Large Scale Service Project. Their purpose is to elect International Officers, participate in a Service Fair to learn more about other club's activities, and to learn about how to improve their clubs through workshops and other activities. The Indiana District is the district to which Purdue University's Circle K is a member to. Circle K's International organization is divided into various Districts. These could be as small as a single State, like Indiana, a collection of states, like Cal-Neva (California-Nevada), or a nation. District size is dependent on the amount of clubs within a particular area. Learn more about the Indiana District of Circle K International here.
METRO FIELDS DIVISION
The Metro Fields Division is the Division of the Indiana District to which Purdue's Circle K belongs. Each district may be divided into various divisions, three in the Indiana District's case: River Valley in the southern part of Indiana, Metro Fields in the central region of Indiana, and Lake Region in the northern areas of Indiana.
LSSP - Large Scale Service Project
The Large Scale Service Project occurs every year right before International Convention. Clubs from across the country, and often from across the world, come together for three days to participate in service. On average, over 3000 hours of service are performed at each LSSP.
MDEC - Member Development and Education Conference
The Member Development and Education Conference is a yearly conference that occurs early in the Fall Semester. In Indiana, every club from our district comes together to learn more about what it means to be a Circle K member, to participate in service projects together, and to make connections to clubs and members across the state of Indiana.
