The Barrs are from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. They are related to the family that built the large home nicknamed "The Ark.," located in Quarryville, Pennsylvania. . Below is another picture:

Here is the house in Lancaster Co, PA, that I believe was built by Abraham and Catharine Rush Barr.
They sold this house when they moved to Indiana in 1836.
