Welcome to CS177: Programming with Multimedia Objects

CS 177 is an overview of Computer Science designed especially for students with little or no programming experience. It is also for students who are majoring in some other discipline, but would like a working knowledge of how computing impacts so many aspects of today's world. There are three main goals to CS 177:

  • to teach the fundamentals of programming,
  • to show the scientific and interdisciplinary nature of computing, and
  • to demonstrate the breadth of the field of Computer Science.
