Hello and welcome to the Ultimate Game Gear Page. This site is dedicated to the Game Gear, a handheld video game system released by Sega in 1991. I'm sure that a lot of you have heard of it before, and I'm also sure that a lot of you own one. I of course am the owner of one and was saddened by the fact that I couldn't find a site on the internet dedicated to them. I had been learning about how to make web pages at school, so I decided to make one. Forgive me if this site seems boring or dull to you. This is my very first web page. Please bookmark it as I will update and add on to it as I get more talented. Unfortunately I don't have a scanner, but I will hopefully be able to use pictures from other sites in the future. Yay for updates! I have no updated the DMP CD List page thingy to parallel the songs I have downloaded for it. So for all you DJ Mystik fans, go and look at more artists that he ripped off :P
Oh and I've added an announcement to the gripes page explaining its lack of updating as well as a link to that reason.

First update of the new year! Yeah I'm a lazy ass. I added a KoL Player Collections page (under miscellaneous). No it has nothing to do with the rest of this site anymore. But seeing as how I haven't added anything game gear related in ages anyway, I don't really think it matters.

I added three more poems to the poetry section. Sadly, those are the only three I've written since I updated that section. Oh well.

I went through and updated every CD on the DMP tonight, including the 6 I had updated before but had gotten new songs for. This means that as of now the DMP page is fully updated. That's right - for the first time I have nothing to add on to it. This is truly a great night. Now that that's done I'll probably be taking a break from the DMP page in order to work on the SP site more. I'll still be downloading music, just not updating it on here. Cya later!

Four CDs updated on the DMP. This whole updating process will hopefully go faster than adding CDs actually did. Once I make it through the second time I'll be taking a break from the DMP to work on other things, mainly the SP site.

All CDs are now up on the DMP. It's a day for celebration! Except it's not, cause today sucked. I also updated the first two CDs, and then decided to quit because I was tired of doing it. But I'm sure glad I got what I did done.

I should so be in bed. My head hurts from a collective lack of sleep this week. But instead I'm on the computer downloading music and updating this page. 5 more CDs added to the DMP. Only 5 more to go, and then I get to start going back and updating the ones that I posted a while back. What fun.

Wow, I didn't realize it had been so long since my last update. I really need to get around to adding more to this site. But not really, because most of my free time has been spent working on the SP site these days. But I did add two more CDs to the DMP section tonight, since I'm still going strong on that project.

Well it's been a while since I updated. I didn't know that they had changed the FTP process on my webspace to a secure one so I wasn't able to update my site over the summer. But now I can, and I added three more CDs to the DMP page tonight. Would do more but I'm quite tired. Oh well, more to come soon hopefully.

Well I'm finally uploading the stuff I finished over spring break. That is an update to the spring break section of the gripes page along with some of the poems having comments now. Hopefully I'll be getting more of that commenting done soon. (It was a very busy week at school.)

Well I did it. I worked my ass off today, typed up about 30 poems, finishing out my whole collection. I left out 3 poems for reasons that I know and you don't need to. Who knows, I may put them up one day, but it will be my choice. Now prepare for no updates for a while since I won't have access to my school server space anymore. This is a MAJOR accomplishment. There are now I believe 79 poems in that section...so you may be reading for a while. If you actually read them that is. Which I doubt you will.

Ok, well as you've probably noticed this site has been down for a LOOONG time. It wasn't my fault - my hosting service has been having issues since mid January. I was going to wait it out, but tonight I finally realized that I was fed up, so I'm uploading my site to my Purdue account till it gets fixed. Hopefully I'll have all my poetry uploaded before Spring Break, at which point I won't be able to update the site until I get back to the dorm. And yeah, there are a couple new poems up :) .

Well here it is the start of a new semester here at Purdue. I'm sitting all alone in my room, because my roommate has left, wondering what this year is going to hold for me. So far im thinking it will be a much better year than last year was, in more respect than one. If it isn't I'm sure you'll hear about it on my gripes page haha.
At any rate, today is a very special day for the Ultimate Game Gear Page. I'm finally updating my new version of the site. For an explanation of why there even is a new version of the site, look at the news right before this one. Now as for why I'm just now uploading the new site, it's simple. When I revamped the site for my project at school I didn't redo the entire page, because it just would have been way too much work. But over Christmas break I finally fixed everything up, and am now ready to present it to all my loving fans. I know you're out there somewhere...right?
Well I feel obliged to tell you everything that I have actually updated. And I will do that now:
- Of course, there is the graphical overhaul, explained below.
- I have gone through every single page and spellchecked them so there should no longer be any huge embarassing spelling errors on the site. This is of course something that I've been needing to do for a long time, as it was really making my site look bad.
- I took out a few pages that had nothing on them anyway, such as the codes page.
- The menu system is much better than it was. Now it takes fewer clicks to get to the page you're looking for, which is always good.
- I put up a SP logo on every page. You'll know what that's for eventually.
- I have split up the gripes pages. This has also been needed for a long time. Now that it's split up there are shorter loading times, it looks better, and it's easier to find each of the three separate gripes sections. (General, school, and college.)
- There is now a feedback form, but it's not working right now unless you happen to have Outlook Express, so don't bitch at me if you don't. Yes I'll fix that eventually.
- I have added some new pages. This includes a manual that was in an older version of my site, but had gotten lost somehow in my first site change. There are new starting pages for the gripes, games, and manuals sections. There is also a new college gripes addition. A new religion questions answer as well.
- This one is big: I've actually added some new stuff related to the game gear! Yes I know, hold your applause :P Seriously though, I added a review of The Lion King, along with it's manual. Hopefully I'll be updating more game gear related stuff soon.
- I added a new section to the site - my poetry. Now right now it only has one poem on it, which was already on the site before, but I'll be adding more soon. Just think of it as the good twin to my gripes section. I'm sort of hoping that they will balance each other out, and not make me seem like someone who wants to kill themselves all of the time.
- I wasn't going to do this at first, but in the end I decided to totally redo the design for the DJ Mystik Project as well. It now looks more like the main site, although it does have a unique design. I actually sort of like it better than the main site, but whatever. I also updated the My History page on the DMP.
- I broke the counter, so that's down right now.
- Other various updates that you probably won't notice (changing page names mostly).
So there you go, I think that pretty much covers everything. This is a real new era for the UGGP and I hope you enjoy all the changes I've made. I added a new gripes section about college. You can find it here. I'm maybe forty songs away from recovering all the ones I lost, and I don't know how much longer it will be until I get them back, so the DMP is still on hold for now.
