I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Purdue University. My research interests are in nonlinear time series analysis of commodity prices, vertical price transmissions, structural changes in consumer preferences, and multinomial logit analysis of consumer preferences for product attributes. My current research applies nonlinear econometric modelling and simulation analysis to time series data to examine the relationship between commodity prices. The general objective of my research is to find evidences of smooth transition autoregressive (STAR) type of relationships in systems of commodity prices and estimate systems of equations using multivariate smooth transition models.

I obtained my Master of Science degree from the Department of Agricultural Economics at Purdue University in 2006. The topic of my thesis was “ Consumers' Willingness-to-Pay for Selected Pork Attributes in the Republic of Georgia”.

My fields of research and teaching interests are applied econometrics, time series analysis, consumer economics, and agribusiness. Main topics of my research interest are commodity price analysis, and consumer demand analysis for food products and attributes. I have also done research in fields related to development, transitional economies, and precision technologies.
