Hi all,

I apologize for the mess of spam posts that made it onto the forum. I failed to make the restrictions as tight as they needed to be. Hopefully, we can avoid nuisances like them in the future.

One important thing to note, however, is that it makes the job of the forum moderators much easier when we can easily distinguish real users from spammers. This is one of the primary reasons we ask that you include your academic affiliation(s) as part of your user profile. Of course it is also cool to see where everybody's coming from.

Again, I apologize for the trash that was on here and hope that the changes I made will prevent it from coming back.
