MissionThe purpose of the EERI/PU Student Chapter is the dissemination of knowledge of the theory and practice of all phases of Earthquake Engineering and other related fields, as well as the furtherance of the professional development of the student. The objective of the Chapter is to encourage and inform the students in reducing earthquake risk by advancing the science and practice of Earthquake Engineering by improving the understanding of the impact of earthquakes on the physical, social, economical, political and cultural environment, and by advocating comprehensive and realistic measures for reducing the harmful effects of earthquakes.
