History

The EERI/PU Student Chapter was established on May, 2002. Its foundation was greatly due to the dedication of enthusiastic and committed individuals such as Mr. Baki Ozturk -former member and founding president-, Professor Mete A. Sozen, and Professor Julio A. Ramirez. The continuous efforts of these individuals made possible the foundation of this EERI Student Chapter with such a large number of members. This Student Chapter has been privileged with a most generous monetary donation from Professor Mete A. Sozen, which has allowed not only the start but the continuation of the activities of the Chapter.
