Code

The art of coding is one that requires ingenuity, patience, and plenty of spare time. Over the years, I have learned HTML, PHP, ASP, Java, JavaScript, Visual Basic, C, MatLab and CSS.

I have written countless lines of code in these languages, so below is where I learned them, also with some shared code available for download. Do NOT use these for commerical purposes, or for a class project, and ask me before actually using them. All code is copyright by Eric Shafer. This is here for reference and educational purposes only.

ASP - I originally learned Active Server Pages (ASP) online as a part of a gaming club. ASP is a useful language for working with servers and databases. However, it is the language I know the least about.

C - I learned C as a part of my Computer Engineering Bachelor's Degree at Purdue University. I first learned it in Computer Science 159. It's quite useful for computer programs.

CSS - CSS is less of a language than it is an additive to HTML. CSS controls the style of websites. I really like it as a way of managing the style of multiple linked pages. Download Now!

HTML - The most useful language I've learned, HTML is great for creating websites, such as this one. This is also the language I have extensive experience in.

Java - Java is a language I learned in AP Computer Science in high school, and it is quite a useful language. I like the GUI components of Java.

MatLab - MatLab is really useful for Engineering projects and Math, and that's about it. I learned MatLab as a part of Engineering 126 at Purdue University.

PHP - Probably one of the most important languages I've used, Hypertext PreProcessor is perfect for use with servers and databases, I have decent knowledge of PHP, but there is much I don't know. Download Now!

Visual Basic - Visual Basic is a beginner programming language that I learned in Computer Science Honors in high school.
