The Peoria Pad
Since the majority of you won't make it out to Peoria, I thought I'd show you some of my surroundings at my apartment here. It's pretty cool that almost all of the interns this summer are staying at the complex... it even has a pool!
Walk into the front door and you see our fashionalbe living area. As you can see, we do have a nice entertainment setup. AND... there's a vaccuum in the corner.. aren't you impressed? Now, if we only knew how to use it...
Turning around, you view into our kitchen area. Notice, there are not dishes, pots, and pans stacked everywhere. Aren't you impressed? AND.. there's an ironing board and iron.. which I have no idea what to use it for... ya.. The hallways to the right and left of the kitchen both lead to two bedrooms and a bathroom.
A close up of our fabulous culinary area. Yes, we're all responsible for our own meals.. and cook on occasion.. or at least try. :-). Boy, do we love our bananas or what? lol...
Walk into my room, and this is what you'd see. A bed and a chest. That's about it. I did buy a plant for the room... and, as you can see, I haven't killed it yet! (And no, jerk, it isn't plastic...)
On the other side of the room lies my desk and stuff. This desk didn't come with draws lol, so note my rather clever storage system beneath the desk. :-)
A view of my outside window. You can see more apartments and a nice grassy field. It's weird being on the first floor and having to keep my blinds closed most of the time... unless I feel like putting on a show for people.. but that only happens a few times a week.. purely accidental, of course...
Well, that's my mini-virtual tour of my apartment. I didn't feel like you needed to see our bathroom or my closet (but they are both clean!).
