So, ya.. it's 3:30 in the morning... What better thing to do than to update? I mean, really, seriously...
Not much happened this week really. I had a big COM group speech today..er.. more like 23 hours ago from right now lol... It went really well. My teacher was very impressed. We got an A.. my teacher was going to show my powerpoint to the head professor. Made me happy.. it really was cool lol. She said even that one of my speeches was probabably going to be in the new textbook coming out as an example (a good one, not bad one..)
Tonight, I had dinner with Tisha. We haven't done that all semester, so that was nice. I have only $1.26 in dining dollars left... Should get me a PowerAde and that's about it.
I spent the night like a loser and studied calculus for 4 hours straight. I finally understand half of the stuff.. goal tomorrow: learn the other 50% of the stuff I don't know. I went down to Rem's room and watched Red Dragon with like 10 other people (10 people is a lot for a small little dorm room. Then, after some of the guests left, all of us boys just sat around and talked till.. well 3:00. I'm really going to miss not having these guys around over the summer. We've had some good times and a lot of good laughs. True Story...
Of course, it'll be really nice to see everyone that actually lives in Lafayette again, too. The writing that Andrea had on her Xanga (NO.. I REFUSE TO GET ONE) is so very true. We each now have our separate, secret lives now. But, we're going to have a blast this summer and I can't wait. But, in the mean time, I need some sleep so I can wake up tomorrow and cram like crazy. Night crazy kids.

Kyle--> hey, man, that's awesome to hear about the speech! Nice job!
It is true, we've all got our seperate lives away from each other now... It's really pretty strange. We all have another network of friends that doesn't include each other... kind of a weird thought... I'm anxious to see you all again and get to hang out with you guys! If only it weren't for this gay research I have to do... come June 10th, though, I'll be home for good!
Spacey Tracie--> I got to see you tonight for like 4 hours! That is awesome... and your friends at Wiley are way fun... and that game is great, mainly because I beat you and Jordan! Thanks for everything Eric... I wish summer started... NOW!

So, ya... "freeservers" (my web server) decided to add banner ads on my site. Jerks... I have so many formatting and other problems with the site as it is.. oh well.. I'll fix everything over the summer.. maybe..
It's been a great weekend... and I was probably the only person who managed to stay sober the entire Grand Prix weekend. Friday, I went to get my haircut and my mom did most of my laundry at home :) thank you! We even had a homemade spaghetti dinner.. that's enoug to make my weekend good. Kyle came back into town and we went with Tracie, Darci, Mel, and Cor to go see the Interpreter. It was an okay flick.. I kinda assumed what was going to happen throughout most of the movie.. plus I had to go pee sooo bad lol. Holding it for over an hour and a half is not advised...
Saturday morning, Tyler and Rem joined me on the super cold morning to go tailgate for the Grand Prix race at the PESC tent. Reminded us all of the upcoming football season. Good times. We got to see the Indy 500 pacecars.. weird looking truck, car, convertible things.. ya.. but that was fun. We arrived there around 11 and they left an hour after that.. too cold for those wimps to stay around :)
PESC bought my Grand Prix ticket, so I decided to go. We didn't make it into the original field of 33, so we had to win another qualifying race before hand. Wes was our driver and drove us to victory for the qualifying race. Pretty awesome to watch. We stayed out in the freezing cold until the race started. Excalibur (AKA the Wiley team) had two cars in it. O'Brien, the three time winner, won it for us this year. Congrats to him and the Wiley teams. PESC started 30th out of 33 cars. We made it 85 or so laps of the 160 (more than half way) before we got hit.. the steering column bent, so we were out of the race. We don't know what place we got, but it surely wasn't last (two people dropped out on the pace laps!). That was the furthest any PESC team has ever gone, so congrats to them.
Well, after standing.. yes standing from 11:00 till 4:00 in freezing cold weather.. I started to try to walk from the stands to my dorm.. which was a good, long walk. My knee almost gave out on me while walking down the stairs of the grandstand. It was painful walking back. I asked our Pres. if she needed help packing away the extra food from our tailgate. I was disappointed when she said "yes".. lol.. but I was glad to help. Wasn't fair for her to have to do it by herself. So, I spent an extra half hour outside packing away and then we went to the office to put things back. We had so much extra food. I came back very stiff and sore. I lost feeling in every part of my body.. so I decided to take a three hour nap lol.
By the time I woke up, everyone in the dorm had gone to some frat party to get drunk.. everyone except the birthday boy, Mattie George. We talked for a long time and watched a movie.. very relaxing and enjoyable.
Well, today is Sunday.. and that means Eric's got a lot of homework to get done. Next post, I'll do a little recap of the entire school year, all while cramming for my finals. You stay classly, West-Lafayette-Lafayette.

Kyle--> Lol, wow... you sounded so much like a sports announcer, it was crazy! It was even complete with a cheesy signing off phrase, lol... nice job!
don't lie about the movie... it was great!
have a good week, man!
Tracie--> I totally should have been the PESC driver, you know I would have totally torn it up! HeHe. And ditto what Kyle said about the movie. Glad to hear you had a good Grand Prix weekend. It's dead week! Yay us!
Tisha--> You are awesome. Completely.
Well, good morning, everyone. I'm in a much better mood than last time I posted lol. After such a not-goo week, I had a great weekend. Friday, Tisha and Tracie came over and we watched Napolean Dynamite. They got to meet some of my boys down here, so that was neat, too.
Saturday was ENvision (the Engineering Open House during Springfest). Geesh was there a lot of people there! I got there around 8 in the morning (ya.. 8, on a Saturday?.. not fun). We covered a majority of Memorial Mall and the small park Between WTHR and SC. I learned how to make popcorn on one those machine thingies. It wasn't too complicated, even for me. We had four live bands perform, two of them I really liked, the others were, eh.. "cliche-ish". I worked the PESC booth and we made structures out of gum drops and toothpicks. This one little girl built this amazing tower. I was so impressed. At the end of the day though, I threw it away and felt bad lol. Such a crazy, long event, but it was worth it. Thanks to those who came and I saw!
After skipping out on cleanup (ya.. felt ad about that) my dad and I rushed to Jefferson High to see the Mc Symphonic Band perform their stuff. They did a great job! Golds from all four judges.. congrats! I really miss it.. and it's a shame I couldn't work anything out for next semester...
My sis and dad and I went out to the Other Pub for dinner. I haven't been there for a while.. it was really good. Sunday, my CS group and I finished our Project! I think it was a grand total of 10 hours to complete, which is very, very short, so I was proud. Yesterday, I spent way too long on my CHIP homework.. I worked on it from 6-8 and 10-1.. it paid off b/c I figured everything out and got a 100% on it, but geesh.. I should have started all the other billion things waiting to be done. Oh well.
The end's in sight.. now there's something to celebrate.

Tisha--> Trace and I rule, I lobr yigs.
kizzle--> yo yo homeslice! what is up, dawg?!
ok, so that's just gotta stop... sounds like you had a good weekend... Summer is almost here!!
Tracious--> I got to see you... and Tisha and I do rule. It's true. And dinner was amazing. Mainly because it was free. The end is 8 days away! I so can't wait. I think I may jump up and down next friday at like 3:30.
So, I think this week counts as a "bad week"... I dunno if bad describes it, but it just hasn't been good. Nothing big or anything, but just everything keeps adding up.
Allow me to vent for a while... I failed my second exam in a row - this time chemistry (when I say fail - I mean failed). Surprisingly, I'm not too upset about it. The exam was totally bogus and I answered what I knew and studied. When you have an exam average below 50%, there's something wrong.
I had.. count 'em.. 11 meetings this week. Only one of them was for PESC.. everything else was academic. I understand engineers have to work in teams.. and I have great teams at that.. but, seriously, it's soo hard to plan meetings for everything. I have a group meeting for every single class i'm in and I'm feeling so overwhelmed. Chem has lab write-ups (that report this week was impossible, wasn't it?) I'm going to miss my chem group.. it was the only thing that made chem fun. CS we have a huge project due next week... we'll be able to figure it out, but when are we goin to find time to do it? Physics - standard lab report this week. In Com we have this huge group speech outline due.. I haven't really started on my part yet..
I played awful in my intramural match tonight. First of all, I didn't get the message we were playing at 11:00... So, at 11:10, I call my partner and he says they're waiting for me. I rushed out.. and i forgot to drop off some chem stuff for Chris...I'm really sorry man. Well, we played awful and split sets. the lights shut off on us at one, so we stopped.
I'm just so tired of everything. I haven't gotten to bed at a decent hour in a long time. I have to stay up till 2:00 in the morning just to get everything finished and then wake up at 8:00 for it all to start over again. I realize I'm complaining about dumb stuff.. but geesh, why can't anything go my way this week? I had to drop band b/c my schedule wouldn't work out. Saturday will be so busy with the ENvision engineering open house. I just need a vacation.. I'm so lucky a long one's coming in sight.
Well, it's now 2:15 and I feel a lot better. there's no one to talk to at this hour, so talking to myself out loud helps a lot. I'm probably keeping Jordan up, too. I'll probably end up deleting this depressing post in the morning, and hopefully the day'll start off right.

Tisha--> I shoulda of stopped by. I'm awake. My phone is always on. Call me whenever you need to vent. I lobr yigs Eric. It'll all be worth it soon.
Tracie--> You should be a slacker like me. Not everything has to be perfect Eric. Why don't you let someone else take the lead sometime?
kizzle_speakizzle--> geez, man, sounds like you've had a pretty rough week... sounds a little like my last week and definitely what this week will be like for me... we'll get through it though! summer is in sight!
Sorry about the venting last post. Definitely wasn't a good week.. but, eh, life goes on. Thanks for the words of encouragement though. So, I totally was supposed to spend the entire night studying for the chem exam coming Monday.. but ya.. totally turned on the TV and watched Office Space instead. I shouldn't have done that...
So, ya, I got my schedule back with a conflict between Band and EPICS. I was hoping to be able to schedule conflict and work it out, but it doesn't sound like that's going to work. So, no band next semester. Oh well...
I woke up this morning for a piano contest called Festival. My piano teacher had organized it all (which was ran very very well), so I volunteered to help her. I was the room chairman.. it was kind of a stressful job making sure everything was on schedule. What was weird, was that I saw some of the kids that were in the PESC event IDEAS at Festival today and they recognized me and said hi. It was kinda cool
Mc tennis had a double-header against teams from the Huate. Team lost, but Rachel won.. she played well. K-dawgy Speakman stopped by and we watched Courtney tear it up on the court. She's already improved since the last time i've seen her play.
Hmm.. not much else to say. I get inducted into ALDPES (some honor fraternity thingy) tomorrow morning. I'm hoping it's short.. b/c I really need to study the rest of the day lol. Oh well...
//Update... So, the Alpha Lambda Delta Phi Eta Sigma induction was really short. We did two induction ceremonies (one for Alpha Lambda Delta and one for Phi Eta Sigma) and it lasted less than 45 minutes. The ceremony was fine, but I guess the thing that bothered me was the guy sitting behind me. He was with his parents and his mom asked him exactly what Alpha Lambda Delta was (it's an academic honor society).. he pauses.. and then is like.. "well I really don't know.. but isn't like "Delta" a Greek letter or something. I'm pretty sure that's what it is" I was about to smack him upside the head and tell him to get out. Dumb people in an academic society.. gr..
Well, this has been your long and boring weekend update.. i've realized this website is kinda crappy, but in four weeks after school gets out, it'll be maybe a little bit nicer. We'll see... take it easy, kids.

kdawgy speakman--> good seein ya on saturday, man. that's hilarious about the kid behind you in inductions... our induction was only about 45 minutes, too! it was freakin sweet... Have a good one!
Tantalizing Tracie--> I'm glad I caught your attention on my xanga...good thing I'm an English person... That guy at inductions is stupid... what a dork... I even knew what it was! K... good luck tomorrow on your exam!
NOTE FROM ME--> Tracie, I don't have a high-tech Xanga or enough knowledge of cgi, so I have to manually post things here. You're responses are stored in the "guestbook" until I can transfer them here. Sorry for the confusion... Comments normally take less than 24 hours to appear down here, but sometimes longer! sorry for any inconvenience!
Tisha--> lol, I was like who's the note from me? I want to see you Eric Yee... you're my favorite Purdue boy colleger goer EVER! Its so true that I lobr yigs.
Sigh.. Why is it that when you try so gosh dang hard at something that you end up not being able to do it anyway? Why is it when I don't do well at something, it seems as if everyone else does well and rubs it in? It may not be the case, but geez.. it sure feels like it. To know that I put in a good 20 hours into everything, and i fail anyway. It's not that I didn't know what to do, it just wouldn't work out. Oh well, life goes on and i'll get over it. It's just such a hopeless, depressing feeling...
In other, happier news... my speech went well the other day. I had such a good topic, that I think everyone was actually paying attention. (Most of the time during speech class, you talk to people who are either half or all the way asleep lol). My teacher was so impressed with my powerpoint.. she had all of these questions on how to do stuff. That made me feel good.. mybe if I get some time, I'll post it up here
Congrats to the Maverick G tennis team on their win last night. Nice job to Rach... good luck on Thursday and this weekend. I'll be coming to your double header on the 23rd (the first day i don't have an exam or meeting on the day you guys have a match.. isn't that sad?)...
I think that's about all I want to say right now... It's not much, but hey, it never is, so don't be expecting it. Have a great rest of the week.

Tracie--> Sad Day for Eric Yee. But nice job on your speech... Thanks for putting "Tracie's tantalizing xanga" that is hot!
Karen A--> I don't know if it will make you feel any better, Eric, but I get that feeling, too, sometimes. Think of it on the positive side; maybe we only imagine it. Seriously, though, everything will work out fine, I'm sure. And nice job on your presentation.
Tisha--> Lets date! lol... I lobr yigs. You are super duper upber nuber something good, WOOP!
The Siets--> Yeester, if there is an afterlife, there's gotta be a special place reserved for people who use the phrase "gosh dang"! You're the best, peace.
www.geocities.com/davidsietsma
kyle--> hey, man, i know the feeling... no worries! plus just think how many people you showed up on your speech... i'm sure it was phenomenal... now you could write my speech for me... i have to miraculously (sp?) write it all this weekend to give it to my teacher monday night so she can tell me what i need to change... ah!
Hmm.. I don't feel like getting my homework done at the moment, so I figured I'd update for a bit. Nothing exciting happened during the week, so let's jump into the weekend.
Today PESC had this event for elementary school kids and their parents called IDEAS. I was the purple team leader... I ushered around 20 kids/rents around to the various projects. One event we made ice cream (the same one as doc weez does!).. the other we made small antiacid rockets. It was really neat and fun! It amazes me how organized this group is.
Um.. not much else has been that exciting lol. I went home to move some furniture and we went out to eat at Cracker Barell. I saw an old neighbor that used to live next to us there, so that was cool to catch up.
Look at the week ahead- Speech on Monday.. Physics Exam Tuesday.. Alpha Lambda Inductions Sunday.. Busy week as you can see lol. Well.. I'm done rambling about my boring life.. have a good one!

the awesome one (aka kyle, of course!)--> i want to make ice cream... I loved doing that in Doc's class, lol... good times! I can't wait til it's summer, and we make home made ice cream at home... You'll have to come out and have some when we do. You never did make it out last summer when we made it, did you? ok, bye
www.kyle is so freakin awesome, how can i be more like him dot com
ThEdge--> Kyle.. there are no words man.. no words at all... :-).. but if I get ice cream, then I'll still act like your friend.
Tisha--> I LOBR YIGS!!!!!!!!!!!! It's Springish, which is super. Bte!
