Howdy to everyone out there reading this. All like 5 of you lol. Things have been going pretty well for me.
This weekend, my family and I went to the RCA Championships in Indy. (click here to read about it) This week was supposed to be my week "off" from teaching... well it really wasn't lol. I didn't teach with the Parks Department all week, but, instead, people have been scheduling lessons like crazy. It'll be crazy when I get back. I'll pick up about 10 new people... I'm not complaining.. working more is good for me now. I haven't decided yet, but I think I'm going to continue teaching throughtout the school year. At least a few people. It'll be nice to at least have some income. But I'll decide that when school starts.. ugh...
well, my fam and i are leaving for vacation at 4 AM tomorrow morning. I'm finally like 80% packed. I got called in tonight to work for Parks and Rec, so i'll finish packing later. We're headed for Las Vegas for a couple of days.. then driving up to Colorado, stopping at the Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, etc. We'll get to Colorado and get to spend some time with our family that we get to see maybe once a year.
One of my cousins probably won't make it out, which is too bad. He's going to study "abroad" I guess in Hawaii this fall... I'm a little jealous. My grandparents are celebrating their 50th aniversary, so that'll be special to be down there for that.
Well, I'm outta here.. I'll return August 7th for everyone who's dying to know :) I move in at Purude on August 19th!

Welcome to the new generation of ThEDGE! The transfer is 90% completed to my new server (Purdue University). I will not have anymore ads, popups, banners, or problems! woo hoo for that! I've even added some more color to the site! Speaking of colors...the date box above will change colors for each new update now, so you can tell if I've updated right away. But anyway... So much has been going on, so i'll try my best to recap...
All summer long I've been working at the West Lafayette Parks Department as a tennis instructor. Unfortunately, today was my last day. I had fun, though. I'm going to miss some of those kids (some I will not miss at all, though). Our last adult class got cancelled due to lightning, but I at least got to say bye to everyone. I had a flood of people asking for my number after class. They were wanting lessons, not dates though... I received a letter in the mail the other day from the head of the Parks and Rec, my head boss. I was kind of scared actually, but she told me someone had written her a nice letter about me and Caleb (my co-worker and doubs partner). It was so very nice and it made me feel good. Now I know why people become teachers...
Other than work, I've gotten to hang out with my friends a lot this summer. It's so weird that in a few, short weeks we'll all return to school and things will be different. I mean, I'm excited to return to campus. I loved living in the dorms.. i loved my friends there.. i love campus and the activities.. (didn't like that whole "school" and "learning" thing too much).. but it'll all be different. Not that different is bad.. it's just.. different. Two totally different worlds.. and I want to live in both of 'em. Greedy, aren't I?
Vacation is fast approaching. We fly out of Indy the 28th to Las Vegas (it's like 117 down there now.. ew..). I'll be back late on August 6th. Visiting the Grand Canyon and then driving back up to Colorado to visit the fam. I'm excited. I'm actually kind of nervous about traveling though. I've never had that fear before.. but then again, I don't remember the last time I've been on an airplane either... hmm.. vacation should be fun though.

Ratina - the cooler nonspeakman .. hm...--> hey remember the times when we would walk through houses that werent even ours or that werent even built all the way yet? um yea whats up with our friends?! we could do betterJK! they are pretty amazing! well i had fun getting to know you this summer and i hope i get to hang out more next summer ! i would give u some sort of speech about how fun planes are and that ur not going to crash and die but i cant bc ive never been on a plane before! so good luck!
