Watched--> Moulin Rouge - How wonderful life is.. now you're in the world.. (Trvia: Elton's original version of this song has the lyrics stated as "while" instead of "now.")
Listened--> Decemberunderground AFI - First CD I have purchased all year, and it was well worth it. This band fuses it's own blend of rock, punk, pop, techno, instrumental, and rap into their own unique style, which has matured even more since their last album. Very catchy and everything's different (though it's a little less "hard-core" than their other albums, which is totally fine with me). Check out Miss Murder and Summer Shudder. Recommended to check out!
Reading--> Wicked Gregory Maguire - Just starting what's sure to be an interesting read.

<-END EDIT->
First off, let me get this off of my chest... It deeply upsets me that half the people that voted in my poll this past week are glad that I am gone for the summer. It's so nice to know that I am loved... ha! So, you must leave me an apology comment or something that's very nice... this goes for everyone... and I might decide to come home again sometime this summer. I'm serious.
Work has been going well. There was a problem that arose this week, and my advisor and I were in charge of figuring out what was wrong. It was pretty intense b/c we found out exactly what was wrong one hour before the meeting in front of the higher-ups. I also had an evaluation this week. It was kind of a stressful week lol.. but everything went well. Other than that I've been hanging out with the other interns here. We had this social event at this huge arcade, which was really fun. Next week we're going to a Camp Tecumseh-like place to do a High Ropes course.
Someone put together of tennis league of somesort for all of us interns. I went this past Thursday, which meant driving across town during rush hour. It was a lot different from what I was expecting... The first half we did drills, and I felt like I was being given a lesson and talked down to, which, you know me.. that really bugs me lol. I realize that it was an icebreaker of somesort or something, but I was hoping to play competitive matches, but most of the people were all begginers, so it was really akward playing in with them. But, I think I'm going tomorrow afternoon, since there will be more players hopefully. We shall see though. I really miss playing, so hopefully I can find someone to hit with.
Well, I'm running out of things to say... I miss everyone back home, but I'm not sure anyone misses me much anymore... I'll be home this coming weekend, and I'm taking July 3rd off, so I will be around for four days. Just a heads up for those who might miss me just a little bit...
Coming up... Home for June 30th-July 4th
ThEDGE - Be sure to check out the ALBUM
Still due to an ultra-gargantuan jerk, who shall still remain nameless as Kyle, comments left on ThEDGE have the potential to be editted and/or deleted to fit the values and views of ThEDGE. You have been warned, once again. :-) Don't let that stop you from leaving one, though.

Tracie--> I'm kind of scared to leave any commment because you'll just take it off if I say anything mean. I really wish I was missing you, but I'm not. Just kidding. It wasn't the same seeing the musical without you, yet I still enjoyed myself. :-) I am happy that you are coming home... remember I was the one that actually tried to get people together last time you came home.
ThEDGE--> Hmm.. Tracie.. that wasn't the nice apology comment that I requested. But, me being a nice guy, will leave it uneditted, even if there is a warning, b/c you are my friend... even if some friends don't do that sort of thing... (But, I'll go ahead and mark you OFF the list of people I'm going to see this July 4th weekend.)
Tracie--> Your comment doesn't make sense? You should want to see me because I am almost always the first one to comment and I try and get something together when you come home.
Kyle--> Hey, man, I actually left a comment on the poll saying that you shouldn't include yourself being gone in the other options because that was the one thing about summer that sucks! I'm excited to see ya this weekend, though! See ya soon!
The Siets--> We need to hang out at some point this weekend.
I miss my little buddy.

Watched--> Family Guy - I'm so hungry, I could ride a horse... wait.. I don't get it...
Listened--> RENT OMS - Always makes me happier..
Reading--> The Things They Carried Tim O'Brien - What a great book...
As the saying goes, it's been one of those weeks.. or something like that.
I dunno... It's just been one of those weeks where I'm just in a bad mood for some reason. Nothing really seemed to go right and everything just bothered me. And I just felt so alone out here for the first time.. Like, everyone else just seemed busy or had problems of their own, and I had no one to talk to.. I dunno.. Oh well, it's the weekend, and I'll get sleep and just get over all of it.
Anyway, on a lighter side of things...
I guess I'll talk about work. It's been going well. The beginning of the week was really slow.. but it picked up at the end. I went to the Testing Cells today and saw engines getting tested. It was pretty cool and very complicated lol. (I also got into work at 6:30 today... man, was that early). I also started 6 Sigma Greenbelt Training. Those who have interned or have jobs at Cat, GE, Toyota, or others probably know what I'm talking about. I'm kind of excited about it, actually. It'll be nice to put on a resume at least.
I think one of my roommates and I are going to go explore Peoria tomorrow. Just drive around and see what's out here. It's weird spending weekends here when everyone is over 21 (not that I'd go hang out at bars anyway). But all of them are really cool, and we all hung out some before they left.
After two solid weeks of running and lifting, I've gotten most of my muscle definition and tone back. I'm really pumped about that. Hopefully this fall semester won't be as busy, so I can keep it up.
Well, I'm running out of things to ramble about. Hopefully next week gets better. I'm taking July 3rd off of work, so I'll be home for a 4-day weekend of July 4th. I'll have to leave before the fireworks though, but it'll still be nice to be around.
Anyway, hope everyone's having a good summer. I'll try to update the Album sometime this weekend with pictures from this past semester, as well as pictures of my apartment in Peoria. Until then, I'm out.
Coming up... I'm coming home!
ThEDGE - Be sure to check out the ALBUM

Tracie--> Eric Eric Eric. I think your disclaimer needs to be bigger on the bottom. I'm not sure if Kyle knows that you think he's a jerk or not. And I'm disgusted that after two weeks you supposedly already have all your muscle definition back. Way to rub it in. I've been working out like way more than you for like a whole semester and I've got nothing. Way to ruin my summer. Just kidding. You ruined my summer when you left me for Peoria. Once again I'm just kidding-- I voted that the best part about summer was you being gone. And I obviously wasn't the only one. Can't wait until this weekend when we can hang out!
ThEDGE--> I knew you voted for me being gone... you're a jer... i mean, "my favorite person," Tracie!... and Kyle knows that in public, I do a very good job of pretending to like him.
J.L.--> Hey dude. I saw your pics of your appartment...looks pretty sweet. But I bet it doesn't replace home. I had have to agree with Tracie the whole working out thing. Then again I haven't been working out since the end of Spring term. Hang in there bud. Peroia will be over with before you know it.

Watched--> Alias - Series Finale - So, it was a while ago, but, man... I'm sad to see it go
Listened--> Augustana All the Stars and Boulevards - Thanks, buddy boy
Reading--> The Things They Carried Tim O'Brien - What a great book...
Howdy, all. You can just ignore that last post... ya... that's in the past lol... I really wanted to reflect on this last semester b/c it was definitely the hardest one by a long shot, but, alas, that will wait until another day. For those of you who don't know, I'm in Peoria right now interning at Caterpillar. [I don't know why I had to clarify that for all 5 of you that actually read this...] But, anyway, I'll be there until mid-August... a week before school starts. I'll return August 12th, which is also another important date.. but I kind of forget.. oh well... must not be important...
As the previous post stated, I was a little nervous, worried, anxious, upset, and just overall a little emotional about coming here for the summer. So, first, I'd like to thank some people who got me through this. Of course, my family for being so supportive of me and helping me move in and all that... I Love and miss you all. To my friends for being there. To Tracie and Tisha for making me the most awesomely amazing gifts ever. It really meant a lot to me. And Kyle... well, you're the best friend any guy could ever ask for... Thanks for talking to me, being there for me, putting up with me, and just being such an absolutley awesome friend, man. I really mean that... Thanks for everything, buddy boy...
Alright, there I am being all emotional again... let's move on...
I'm living in a four-bedroom apartment right now with three other roommates. All of 'em are cool guys. I was given the wrong roomkey, moved into an apartment that some guy didn't move out of yet, and had to clean everything out ourselves (no cleaning person came before we moved in..). But, ya, those weren't terrible things. A "virtual tour" of the pad will be posted in the ALBUM soon, too. (Use the links up top to navigate.)
I never imagined myself working in the corporate world. I always figured I'd be in a small firm, but, to be honest, the corporate world isn't all that bad lol. My experience has been really good so far. I'm working on electrical (go figure) aspects of engines right now. I've learned so much in a few short days. All my advisors and supervisors are really nice, too. I don't feel like "just" an intern... it's really kind of nice.
I got my first paycheck yesterday, which was exciting. I forgot how much I hate taxes lol... Oh well, at least it covers the rent.
You guys are welcome to visit me anytime (well, most of you at least). I'll keep you updated on my returns home via my AIM profile. If you are coming down to visit, please ask me for directions due to contruction. (I have nicely typed some for anyone wishing to visit).
Oh, by the way, I remembered... August 12th is Tracie's 21st Birthday...
Hope you're all having a good summer!

Tracie--> You'd better not forget my freakin' birthday!!! I would take your wallet and throw it at your crotch again! I feel honored to be mentioned twice in one entry. Can't wait for you to come home again!
Anna G.--> Eric - it's been a long time! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your internship! I hope life is treating you well.
Have an amazing summer and take care!
kyle--> I guess you didn't think the gift that I made you was amazingly awesome, though... :-(
Haha, glad I was able to be there for ya, man. Hang in there, and I'm sure I'll talk to you soon!
ThEDGE--> haha, kyle.. it wasn't, but good try!
Just joking, buddy boy.. I think I said the nicest things ever about you anyway, so what more do you want, jerk?
your sis--> haha, weren't those raccoons cute? I should know, we saw baby ones on our bike ride! Guess what? We're going to my math teacher's house tomorrow. How awkward is that?
