Hopefully this won't be a long post, b/c I'm tired lol. Today's been a long day. Let's take a look why...

I woke up this morning at 8:30... earliest I've had to all summer long.. I know, sad day for Eric. Why was I getting up? B/c Eric had to teach a tennis lesson. I went in to the Parks Department Yesterday to fill out W-4 forms (good times) and my buddy and co-worked, Caleb, asked for my teaching assistance, so I gave it to him. I got "stuck" with three little kids (ages 3, 4, and 4). So, VERY little kids (shorter than me!). Teaching them was a very big challenge, as they hardly listened to a word I had to say. Of course, their parents stay to watch me. But, I think I handled them fine, as no one got hurt.

I changed and went to watch the Class of 2005 Graduate in Elliot Hall. I do have to say that the speeches weren't very good this year... Karen Atkins did a wonderful job with hers though.. best one of the entire day! Very funny and creative. Tony Starks had a good one.. reminded me of mine I did, so that was way cool. Congrats Grads.

Then, I went to play tennis with my sis. I had placed some flyers for tennis lessons over by the McCutcheon Courts and TWO people had taken fliers! woo hoo! Rachel had the urge to run, so when we got back home, the two of us ran. She hadn't run in a while, so we didn't get too far lol. Maybe 1.5 miles, but we're goin further tomorrow I think.

Lastly, I ventured over to Andrea's B-day Party. I took a swing on the the rope.. which was pretty awesome. I had a good time. Happy Birthday, Andrea!

Now, I'm here at home updating my site. Check out this new section ONE YEAR AGO..., which reflects on last year a lil' bit. It's off of the Purdue server, which I'm going to try to transfer my site over to. I'm excited.. A lot of FREE space without banner ads. Why didn't I do this before? Who knows.. Bed time.. is.. now... bye

Good (Morning, Afternoon, Evening - insert correct word), Readers. What's a-happening? Not much here. I have consolidated a lot of files under one domain name, so you should only be seeing one annoying banner ad at the bottom of your screen. If you don't understand that, it's okay.. just know that it took a lot of work lol.

I was trying to post up clips from my Senior Video I made from my openhouse. I'm kiind of in a nostalgic mood right now, so I thought it'd be neat to reflect on one year ago. Problem - my whole powerpoint video was 70 MB and the clips I wanna post are 10 MB's.. which aren't uploading, so I dooubt I'll be able to post 'em here. Oh well.. if you want the full video, ask me. I'll send it to you.

Rachel's in the Individual Single's Sectional Championship tomorrow. Good luck to her. Most of my week has been revolving around that. Good luck to her!

I went to see Episode III with Tracie and Mel last night. Absolutely amazing... A very satisfying end to the saga, in my opinion. Graphics = A-may-zing (props to Scottie) I LOVE Star Wars music, and John Williams wrote an awesome score. Movie was very good... go see it!

Another great thing I watched.. Season Finale of Alias. No, I dind't watch American Idol. I watched some of the first audition episodes, but then stopped after that. School got in the way, and I've lost interest in the show... it's drawn out waaaayyy too long.. I mean, seriously.. TWO HOURS to announce the winner? Que Ridiculo! Anyway, back to Alias... This season was very.. weird, I guess you could say. It played out like a "end of the world, sci-fi, diaster" movie really. I'm glad that's all over with. The last 2 minutes.. OMG. It was such a surprise. BEST cliffhanger EVER. It made me jump, gasp, and left me speechless. JJ Abrahms (the writer), you out-did yourself there. I hope next season is just full of great writing.

Hmm.. I've talked about movies and TV.. how bout something educational - books! I'm reading the 4th Harry Potter again (#6 comes out on July 16th!). Well, that's all I have "academic-wise" in me... Oh wait.. Ken Jennings didn't win the Jeopardy tournament of champions! ARTICLE I didn't watch it (tennis match), but I heard. Disappointing, isn't it? He's supposed to get his own game show I guess.. kind of like a win Ben Stein's money type of dealie.

Alright, that's it for now. I start teaching tennis soon, which is my summer job, and I'm really really excited to get started. Hope everyone's (amost everyone I guess) is finally enjoying their summer's. I'm outta here.

PLEASE HELP ME ADVERTISE! If you know ANYONE interested in Tennis Lessons, Please send them this link... http://thedge.4t.com/pic/tennis.doc or download the flyer and print it off and give it to them. THANKS A BUNCH!

kyle--> sweet, i can't wait to see star wars... hopefully I'll see it soon... speaking of season finales, i watched two - Smallville and the OC. The OC's was awesome (but it was only the 2nd show I've ever seen of it, lol) and Smallville's just plain sucked... it was so sad, lol. Gosh... although they did show a 10 minute preview of the new batman movie... looks pretty awesome! ok bye

Hola, amigos. Man, this site looks like crap right now. I'll fix it sometime. I'm really unmotivated to deal with it right now. I'm kinda unmotivated to do anything really lol. I've been a lazy bum for 2 weeks now. I have one more "free week" before I start working. It's not like I sit around all day or stuff. I do all the household chores - mowing, sweeping, dusting, and all that jazz. As of lately, I've been hitting with my sis a lot. She's in the tennis individual sectionals this Tuesday. It'll be nice to start working again though. I kinda want some extra cash.

This weekend was fun. Went to Kyle's place on Saturday night for a bonfire. It was good seeing everyone again. There's some stuff I want to say here.. but I don't know who all reads this, so I think I'm goin to keep it to myself for now. But, all in all, a good night.

Season Finale of Desperate Housewives just concluded. Wasn't bad, but wasn't what I was expecting. Really kind of a depressing episode. But, the writing is definitely genius.

I had this camera on campus throughout the year to take pictures and crap. But, it stopped taking pictures, so my dad rolled up the film himself. I wonder if I'll get back any pictures from that roll. I'll be sad if I don't. Eric's-to-buy-list = digital camera.

Hmm.. I'm really not in a good mood, so why am I writing this? Who knows. One of those nights where you have a lot on your mind, but don't wanna do anything about it... oh well... until next time.. adios

Well, it's been a while. Eric, trying to be organized as he is, accidently erased a lot of his files on his website. Eric = idiot. That just shows I shouldn't be trying to fix this site when I have a pouding headache. Oh well...

Question for everyone out there that reads this (all like two of you lol) Can you see this? meaning.. can you see what I typed here? I know, I know, the dumb banner ads are everywhere. I'm looking for a new server. I really don't want to pay the money to find someone to host my own site, but I just might have to. No, Xanga is out of the question. I'm "above" that if you will... lol.. or too stubborn to give in...

Not a lot has been happening here to tell you the truth lol. It's kinda nice. Mc Girl's last tenni match was Monday. I went there and saw them kick some major butt. I also went there and saw like everyone and their mothers. Literally.. I saw a lot of people's moms lol. First question out of EVERYONE'S mouth was.. "how was your first semetser... Done. (laugh) right?" I swear.. that's exactly what they all said. I felt like I was having the same conversation with 20 different people. A majority of them still thought I was in a relationship, and when I informed them that I wasn't, they ALL said "college changes people." This is actually kinda interesting to think about. How much have people changed this year? Not that change is bad in any sense, but I really don't think I have changed much at all, which may be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it.. hm..

Moving on.. enough of my rambling.. Work starts in a few weeks for me. I'm at the West Lafayette Parks Department again teaching tennis. I'm hoping I get stuck with good, well-behaved kids... ya right. Half of my job is babysitting.. the other half is making sure no one kills themselves. (I had someone get a bloody nose from hitting himself with a ball) Teaching them actually how to play tennis squeezes in there somewhere. I'm actually kinda looking forward to it. It's fun, for the most part, and I'll get a tan.. well.. and paid. I guess that's the main reason I'm looking forward to it lol. Having money again. I wanna buy a lot of new things this summer.. we'll see how well I manage.

Besides teaching tennis with the parks department, I might be teaching with the Sports Center as well. I hope so.. more hours the better. I'm goin to be giving my own lessons, too. So, if anyone knows of anyone that wants to learn how to play tennis for a lost cost, send them to me. We'll see how well this whole thing works out. I already have one customer! woo hoo...

The Yeesterbunny's (you would think that name would have died by now, right? Thanks to Melissa, Dana, and Hannah for keeping it alive this year.. or something like taht) room is still a disaster area. I really need to work on cleaning that up... I came back home and ran out of space to put all of my clothes. I seriously don't know how I have so much now.. It all fit into drawers when I left for college.. hmm... So this is getting long and boring, as always. I apologize for wasting your time with my random, useless thoughts lol.

a lowly xanga person by the name of kyle--> hey, man, i can see your entry... no worries... the window is smaller because of the dumb ads, but i can still read it... and I'm one of the 2! I think there's more than two, though, so no worries... it sucks that by the time Im' gonna be home you're gonna start working again. gosh... about the whole changing in college thing, I dont' really feel like I have changed either. I think we have all matured, though. Like we went through this new situation, had to meet new people, go to classes, be more independent... it's kind of strange, but we did it. so I think just because of that, we've matured and such... I dont know. But anyway, I have a headache and i'm tired, so this is probably not making sense... i'm just sort of rambling so i'll talk to you later, man. I think i'm comin home this weekend, so hopefully i'll see ya... maybe everyone get together saturday night?

Tracie--> That is so funny that a kid got a bloody nose from hitting himself with a ball! I have the best image in my head! Thanks for giving that to me! It made my night! Eric you'll never change in my mind! You'll always be the computer geek from kindegarten who was my media fair partner! And I think you're still as tall... JUST KIDDING! I love you Eric Yee!

The Siets--> Eric Yee, so how was your first year of college? Just kidding! Switch to Geocities where the cool people have sites or tell Rob to get his server set up. Stay Clean! Peace!

Chuck Wong--> One would think that highschool nicknames would die, but noooo. Trust me, they never do and never will. :)

Wow, it's been a long time. Note to everyone: my website server is being dumb and forcing me to put those banner ads on now, so deal with it. I'll fix everything sometime this summer.. hopefully...

And now for a little piece I'd like to call...

Reflection...
One year down. A few to go.

Okay.. okay.. hold your excitement in. I'm just going to ramble on about this first year at Purdue for a bit, so read on if you want to hear some excitement.. or something.. like that.. ya.. anyway..

Summer 2004 can be described in one word: totally-super-most-amazing-summer-ever (yes, that is one word). Sadly, it all ended and I was being shipped off a whole 15 minutes to my new home, Wiley 340. I brought a crap load of stuff, but I didn't forget anything that I needed, so that was good. Jordan and I (plus sus papas) built our loft together.. twice.. lol. We had a choice between two different heights and we chose the wrong one. That whole ordeal took like the entire day lol.

BGR (Boiler Gold Rush Frosh Orientation) was pretty cool. They had several of the funniest people I've ever heard come to Purdue. I even met two of my good pals, Rem Yoder (He's Amish..lol) and Mattie George. Classes started and boy it was a shock. First class - MA162 Calc II. I remember sitting in the front of the lecture hall and staring at our dumb professor. He talked so fast about something I didn't understand. I was very frightened. He started drawing graphs of stuff (later I found out it was 3-D stuff) and I was lost from there.

Semester rolls around and the first exams of the year come up.. CHEM 115 and MA 162. Two days prior to my Chem test, Ashley broke up with me. I kinda saw that coming, but it took a long time for that to sink in. Not only did we end our relationship that day, our friendship I guess kinda ended, too. We still don't talk till this day for some reason. Nothing in common anymore I guess... Well, with that still fresh in my mind, Eric bombed the first Chem test. 60% = D- That hurt pretty badly. I focused enough on calc to pull off an 91% on that exam and then life started getting back on track.

The boys starting forming our group around mid-semester. A group of 14 of us or so started eating dinner every night together. They all were big Halo II players, and I joined in a few times (even though I sucked at it). That's when I met Day-goo (however you spell it). Scottie and I had found our new "best" friend.. haha.. not quite. This guy was crazy and pretty disgusting. He washed his feet in our sink, brushed his teeth at our drinking fountain, and would scream at the top of his lungs and throw things around very violently. No one knows why... It was very frightening at times... that was only one of my interesting neighbors. Beside Jordan and I on our right, we had two Asian guys who I would NEVER see during the day. They always had their alarm set at 11:00 in the morning and would NEVER shut it off. It bugged me.. and then, at 1:00 in the morning, they would miraculously show up. They would start playing this soccer game, non-stop, and listen to this weird techno music, which was blasting till 2 in the morning most nights. Now, our other neighbors were a little better. Both very musical, but very preppy, fratboy kind of guys. They played guitars and tried to sing along. They were decent. The thing that bugged me.. were their blasted bongos. Oh man.. Jordan and I saw the bongo box outside of their door that first day and the sound of bongos could be heard till 3 in the morning.

Jordan was a great roommate from day one.. I can't think ya enough for everything this year. can't wait until the next (we're rooming again together next year). At the beginning of the year, the floor was flooded with engineers. By second semester, we were down to only a few and I really only talked to three of 'em. Good ol' T-reed.. mmmm k. lol (One of the funniest guys you'll ever meet) Good ol' Ge-off and Jimbo, too. Their room (the "lounge") became the hangout for everyone. Well, first semester ended.. and I was happy with my grades, and happy to have a break from school. It was nice seeing all of my high school pals again.

This second semester, classwise, was extremley rough. I applied to join the Purdue Engineering Student Council right off the bat. I wanted to get involved in something and they had a callout. Little did I know what I was getting myself into. We had to go through an interview process (in front of all 4 officers plus 2 other people) in business formal attire. Very intimidating... But, I was one of 15 or so that got in out of the 50-70 that applied (I don't know exactly how many). This organization is so awesome. Full of cool people and cool events (we run the world's largest student-run job fair in the fall with almost 300 companies attending!). I get to plan out my own event come next fall... I'm excited.

Second semester progressed just fine. I had a good balance between everything. Seeing old high school friends, hanging out with my hall buddies, and goin home on occasion, too. Life as an engineer sucked though during the week, but you'll have that. I thought ENGR 106 was torture, but I think this semester's classes were close to being worse. PHYS 152 = the worst class in world. lol. The class that gave Eric his first B.. yes.. I know.. lol.. I got a B in that class. I had a D mid-way through semester, so raising it to a B is a big accomplishment.

Shoot, there was so much other stuff I wanted to include in here, but I can't remember any of it lol. But, this is really freakin long, so I'm goin to close here.

Thanks, everyone, for the memories this year. Purdue's been great, and I'm so glad I chose to be a Boilermaker. From high-school reunions, to NASCAR nights, from 106 torture, to my first fountain run, from nights at the "lounge", to the our frat at Wiley.. thanks for making this year so great. Now, an even better summer awaits.. i can't wait to see what memories come from it!

Tracie-->Psshhh... I wasn't mentioned once! I'm utterly offended... well not really. So since I was misplaced somewhere in your blog, I'll add my own touch. "I spent some of the best times with Tracie. From our dinners to having creepy guy come in! Or from Tracie beating me at that car game when Tracie had a pink car. Or the time when Tracie took me for a road trip and bought me Speghetti's. Or even better, the time when she wrote the best away messages... EVER!" It's a good thing I can read your mind Eric. :)

Kyle--> hey, man, that was really cool! and really long! lol. sounds like you had a great year, man. can't wait until this summer when I'm actually home and we can hang out without worrying about school work... just a month left... lol, how depressing...
