A Bibliography of Publications on English in Russia
An immense body of the research on English in Russia
virtually remains
terra
incognita for scholars working outside the Russian
Federation, because it is mostly published in Russian by
University Press. On the other side, the scholarship published
in western peer-reviewed journals is rarely accessible to
Russian linguists.
Hence, our primary objective in comprising this bibliographic account of
scholarship pertaining to the presence of English in Russia is to build
connections between western and Russian sociolinguists. We also hope
that our efforts will contribute to building the network of
researchers interested in studying this issue.
Currently, we posted the Bibliography; however, we're working on providing annotations to the most interesting works (which you can view by clicking on an "Abstract" link). If you are interested in writing an annotation or in some particular publication, please contact us and we will help you either to get in touch with the author or provide you with any further information. We tried our best to provide available URLs; however, we cannot guarantee that all the links are functional.
