About Eta Sigma Iota
By Patrick Kuhlman | Feb 16, 2009
America's first and only homeland security professional society, our Alpha chapter is located at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Eta Sigma Iota was founded in 2006 from the Purdue Homeland Security Institute (PHSI) and the Purdue Visualization and Analytics Center (PURVAC - a DHS Center of Excellence).
Our primary objective is:
"To bring together the students and faculty of Purdue University who are interested in issues related to the field of homeland security."
We intend to establish chapters at universities throughout America to create a National Homeland Security Professional Society.

What's in a name?
By Patrick Kuhlman | Oct 1, 2008
The description of Eta Sigma Iota is being changed from "Fraternity" to "Society." We believe that "society" better describes the goal of Eta Sigma Iota to be a place for students and faculty, interested in homeland security, to meet and exchange ideas. Please allow some time for the change to be updated in all parts of the site.
