Getting your Research Published
A piece of advice from Dr. Atkinson:"Start working on publications from the moment you came to the grad school". Submitting an article for publication is a long and tedious process. The chart below present the basic steps of publishing in a peer-reviewed journal.

THE ADVICE THAT CAN SAVE YOU TIME & FRUSTRATION
- Before submitting a manuscript, get familiar with the journal.
Does your manuscript fit into it? See our overview of major ESL
journals.
- Read carefully a journal’s submission guide and follow its
specific requirements. The more your manuscript conforms to the
guidelines, the more chances you have to get it published.
- Ask your colleagues to review the manuscripts.
- Do not panic if your manuscript is sent for further review or even rejected: send it to another journal.
