Crack propagation in homogeneous materials due to volumetric changes & mechanical loading:

In this work we explore the combined effects of volumetric changes and mechanical loading in the development of microcraks in heterogeneous materials using a micromechanical model. At this point we are making reproduction of some referenced works [1] in this field to validate our models. This simulations were achieved using an open source code which modified at CMMLAB for this purposes.
