"Untitled"

SARAH ROBINSON

What sleepy music dripping water makes;
The angels' tears from heaven falling down.
As raindrops softly patter rhythmic shapes,
Alone, my thoughts like leaves are blown around.
The coldness seeps through cracks of weakening walls,
Invades my solitude, so damp and still.
As stark as crystal, dark's asylum falls:
A starless night the moon has failed to fill.
The storm breathes harder, threatening sanity,
As floods sweep cobwebbed corners of my mind.
I crave transcendence; shocked and shaken free--
The lightening midst the clouds I long to find.
The wind chills beauty--haunting, constant cry--
With thunder now my deafening lullaby.
