History
Purdue Fencing Club is an organization representing 95 years of fencing tradition at Purdue.
From humble beginnings in 1922 as a 5-member men's varsity foil squad, the varsity squad grew in popularity.
In 1935, Silver Mask, an honorary fraternal order, was created to increase interest in fencing to male students.
While men's varsity fencing was dissolved in the 1940s, Silver Mask remained to provide a fencing club atmosphere.
Purdue Fencing Club in its modern form first took shape in 1970 and has provided experiences in fencing,
competition, and camaraderie to all Boilermakers who show interest.
