"I love Spring Rally! There are a ton of kids in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program that come to Theta Chi for a day of fun. That's gotta be so cool for them!"

Philanthropy
Life on a college campus can tend to get one pretty self-involved. That's why we enjoy participation in philanthropies and charitable events. Whether it's giving of our time, talents, or raising funds, Glenwood girls love to be involved. Our Philanthropy Corner is dedicated to promoting philanthropies and keeping G-dubbers updated on upcoming events.
As a house we are always looking to get involved with new charitable events. Along side other cooperative houses, we are volunteering with the Boiler Volunteer Network. We truly put our blood, sweat and tears into philanthropies. Think we're exaggerating? Well, we donate at the PCC Blood Drive. We break a sweat in various 5K runs and walks such as the KYSS Nursing Walk and the walk for College Mentors for Kids. And the tears - they are tears of joy!
Not only are philanthropies fulfilling, they are fun and exciting! Specifically in the fall we really get excited about the annual Farmhouse/AGR Fall Classic sponsoring Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Alpha Tau Omega's annual Payless Supermarket Spree supporting Lafayette Urban Ministry's Hunger Program.
Spring time at Purdue brings fourth warm weather and Theta Chi's Spring Rally benefiting Big Brothers/Big Sisters. It's a rich tradition at Glenwood not only because we've been the champs two out of the last three years, but because we have so much fun. During the week of Spring Rally, each day is dedicated to a different event. We always look forward to choreographing a routine for the lip sync competition and perfecting our human pyramid building technique for the Olympic games. The real fun comes at the carnival spending time with the kids. Our whip cream pie throwing booth is always a smash! (No pun intended! :)
