Professional

I am an ECE Ph.D. student at Purdue University, working in the Dependable Computing Systems Laboratory under the supervision of Profs. Saurabh Bagchi and Guy Lebanon.

Previously, I was an information security officer for the Panama Canal Authority. Also, I enjoyed spending many hours as a college professor for network security courses at Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá and Universidad Latina de Panamá. I am a member of IEEE, ACM, Usenix, and APANAC.

For a more detailed look at my professional life, here is my resumé.

My PGP public key (keyID 0x21EB4B9B) is here. Bit paranoiac? Verify it on the IRIS network.

Personal

I'm married to Lourdes Morales, who is a great mom, outstanding graphic designer and art critic and an amazing cook! Our first child, David, was born on October, 2001. Our second child, Diego, was born on December, 2005.

We were all born in a small and very beautiful country named Panama. Whenever you want to immerse in a tropical, fun, chaotic, outspoken, laidback type of country, come to Panama. There are many reasons as to why we are "the path less traveled": [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]. There is my Panama Canal, one of the Greatest Engineering Wonders of the Modern World: [1], [2]. The expansion has started! [3], [4]. Very soon we will also have a new museum to celebrate our biodiversity: [1]. And if you can't come to paradise, go check one of our own at a city near you: [1], [2], [3]. Enjoy and welcome to Panama!
