Membership Requirements

Students are eligible for membership based on grade point average and active membership in a Greek fraternity or sorority recognized by their university. The Society strives to uphold the high ideals of scholastic achievement, and therefore, only students with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale) at the start of their junior year or a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in any semester during their junior or senior year are eligible.

Membership Benefits

Gamma Sigma Alpha, developed and coordinated solely by students, offers members the opportunity to cultivate leadership skills through officer positions, chapter programming and the national executive board. This newly established Society offers the chance for highly motivated and creative thinkers to assist with expansion plans as well.

Members pay a one-time membership fee that entitles them to a lifetime of experiences and academic enrichment through Gamma Sigma Alpha.

Members receive the unique opportunity to network with other outstanding Greek students, as well as university faculty and administration, through the society's goals and activities. The shared commitment to achieve scholastically fosters the bonds of friendship and mutual respect between members, as they participate in Gamma Sigma Alpha programming.

By accepting membership into Gamma Sigma Alpha, students are recognized for outstanding scholastic achievement. The society's activities and programming enrich a student's understanding and commitment to academics. Gamma Sigma Alpha enables members to further personal achievements in academia, as well as to promote scholarship in the university community.
