The club now uses Purdue's Mailman server (https://lists.purdue.edu/) for managing our mailing list. It should be easier and more versatile for everyone than our old system. All members who were on the existing mailing list have been automatically transferred. For more information, see the Mailing List page.

The club website forums will be unavailable as we work on transitioning to a new version of the software. Thanks for your patience.Update 2/7/08: The new version isn't mature enough for our purposes yet, so we'll continue to use the old one for the time being. The only change is that new registrants to the forum require the blessing of an admin before they can post; we're sorry for the inconvenience, but the inevitable flood of ads and spam that come with running any community online got to be too much.

Lots of fun updates to the website this week. In no particular order:* Our archive of match results is available
* We have a new photo gallery that's integrated with the forums
* All of the photos that aren't in the gallery can be found here
* Sign up for the mailing list online, instantly
* The main blog section looks much cooler and more Purdue-ish
* The website can now be accessed from:
www.purdue.edu/gunclub
which is a whole lot easier to remember and type. Yay!
Also, we still have 3 seats available for the Knob Creek trip. Anyone who's interested can sign up by emailing Tom.

We've launched a new message board for the club so that members (and nonmembers too) can interact and discuss stuff online. It's been in the navigation menu for about a week now, but I haven't announced it because we were still setting it up.It's not perfect yet, so even though it's stable, we're still adding things and tweaking. Therefore, it's officially in beta, but definitely feel free to register and post any questions, comments, thoughts, or photos you might have. (You'll have to host the photos yourself. Your Purdue career account would be great for that, as well as the usual photobucket type sites.) We'll see you there.
PS - Also added a page for fun downloads.

The safety briefing has been overhauled a bit, and the updated version is available from the safety section. As always, constructive feedback is welcome. Also, in the course of working on the site, the forms for emailing officers got broken, so the Contact Officers page is useless right now. If you need to contact the club through email, use the Contact Webmaster page above the officers link. Note in the subject which officer you'd like it sent to, and we'll forward the message to their inbox without looking at the contents.
Update: Officer email forms have been fixed.
