A reminder: tomorrow night, Jan 22, is our callout. Any current Purdue student or faculty who would like to attend is welcome (and encouraged) to. Please arrive as close to 7:00 pm as possible so we can begin the safety briefing on time.Existing members: because of the callout, tomorrow night will not be a normal practice. We ask that anyone interested in helping with the callout show up at 7:00 to set up equipment, and help new shooters if they need it. Thanks in advance to everyone who can help.
Also, starting tomorrow night, the club has two open officer positions that we're looking to fill: secretary and co-armorer. If anyone is curious about either of these positions, talk to Tom at practice, or drop him a line.
Update (Jan 22): the Secretary position has been filled.

*There is no cost to shoot, though you should bring money for lunch. Ammo, equipment, and snacks will be provided.
*Darren will be able to provide details on each course of fire and the targets to be used. No previous competition experience is necessary, but familiarity with basic pistol shooting is expected. Shooters of all levels and abilities are encouraged to participate. Competition will make you a better shooter.

Happy 2007 from the Rifle and Pistol Club! As we gear up for the spring 07 semester, here are a couple practice related announcements. There will be practice as usual tonight (Mon, Jan 15, 7:00pm) in the armory for any members who want to attend, despite there being no classes today. There will NOT, however, be a safety briefing for new attendees, on account of...
As noted on the callout page, our semesterly callout will be held next Monday, January 22, at or shortly after 7:00pm. This is a great chance for interested persons to stop by, learn about the club and safe shooting, and get involved. Expect the safety briefing part of the callout to last roughly until 8:00, and the rest of the time will be available for shooting/instructional shooting.
Wednesday/Thursday practices will resume as soon as we figure out who can be there to run them. We'll post on here and announce it at a Monday practice when we know.
Monday, December 4, 2006, 07:11 AM - Practice
Tomorrow, Monday 12/4, will be our last Monday evening practice session for this semester. As is our tradition, this night will be the opportunity for all interested to bring in their notes and workbooks (preferably no hardcover books) that are no longer needed for their finals and use them as targets.Keep in mind that, while this is fun, it also tends to be a little messy, so please be willing to stay a little longer afterwards just to help clean up.
Also, to all individuals participating in shooting postal matches, this week is our first and last opportunity to shoot our December Postal Targets, so please be prepared to take care of that.
